Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Russell started his stand-up after a college screenwriting professor told him he wasn’t a very funny writer – purely out of spite, Russell kicked off his comedy journey the very next day and has been performing up and down I-25 ever since!
A Colorado comedy staple, Russell regularly performs at both Loonees Comedy Corner and 3Es Comedy Club, opening for the likes of Brandt Tobler, Simon Gibson, Ivan Decker and Andy Gross.
His welcoming personality and “out-of-nowhere” punchlines have earned him spots at the world famous Denver Comedy Works’ Funny Final Four and UpNext Showcase, Best of The Fest at the Four Corners Comedy Festival, and Winner of the 2022 Comics Rocks Convention Comedy Competition in Atlanta.
